Why I Joined BizWorks360

I joined BizWorks360 because my experience in marketing has always focused on a multichannel marketing approach to acquiring customers.  In our increasingly fragmented media marketplace, my roots in partnership, promotional, and non-traditional media felt perfectly aligned with the BizWorks360 approach to leveraging the digital ecosystem. My colleagues in the traditional, digital, and live event media spheres have been exploring media options and looking for the right mix. At BizWorks360 we're better able to integrate these media options by taking them out of their traditional and digital silos.  For me it was never only about a "TV Buy" or "Digital Buy," but an Integrated Buy that included promotions, relationship marketing and whatever else it took to acquire customers.  These are core value we're building upon at BizWorks360.

What I do at BizWorks360

I am focused on building out our Integrated Media Solutions group.   My role is to engage with clients on a daily basis to deliver a fully integrated media service combining the best in digital and traditional media. I am also Chief Collaborator, responsible for building our Partner Company relationships.

What I am Reading

Flip the Funnel by Joseph Jaffe. An interesting illustration of what every salesperson probably knows, but often fails to act upon.  Inbound Marketing by Brian Halligan & Dharmesh Shah. The practical and "standard" reference book for getting found on the web.

What Do I like on Television

Community for the writing and characters. Anything on C-Span for the unfiltered coverage and the background "noise."  I enjoy comparing C-Span to the filtered news on the various channels.  Live Events, like Award Shows, because they're live and may be what keep "Television" alive.

What Newspapers & Magazines I STILL Read in thier Traditonal Form

The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and AutoWeek. My Kitchen table isn't ready to go fully digital; although the notebook computer is usually sitting on top of the papers in front of the muted TV. Time for a big screen in the Kitchen.

What I did Before BizWorks360

Media buying as VP of Corinthian Media, where BizWorks360 offices are now located.  While at Corinthian I created and integrated promotions and partnerships along with the primary business of buying media for clients including Snapple Beverages and Six Flags Theme Parks. Selling cases of Snapple and Tickets to Six Flags were outcomes we loved.

Barter Finance as VP of Business Development at Icon International, an Omnicom Company. While at Icon I created and managed an account management group that concentrated on repeating sales with current customers like Smucker's Food and Time Warner.

Partnership and Entertainment Marketing as Regional Vice President for Feld Entertainment; producers of Ringling Bros. Circus and Disney on Ice. At Feld I blended the traditional with the unconventional; from promotional "stunts," to product placement.

AFM Live! Media, my own media and advertising consulting company, where I have helped entertainment brands such as Feld Entertainment and The World's Toughest Rodeo build digital and partnership marketing programs; as well as create online media and publicity tracking systems.
